Hi everyone and thank you for your interest in xScreen for Xbox Series S.
We have been experiencing some ongoing challenges with our latest production run of xScreen. These are the same issues that all other companies are facing but we would like to be as transparent as possible with our customers:
- COVID Lockdown in China. China has been very strict on COVID lockdown over the past few months which has caused our timeframes to change without notice. This makes providing accurate dates on availability very difficult.
- Global Chip Shortages. We have been experiencing shortages in supply and price increases across all components.
We are now in the final stages of our latest production run (just going through the quality assurance checks). Expected date for production completion (ready for pickup) is 15 July.
Once production is complete, we need to move stock to the logistics provider that will be sending orders out to you.
For our first production run we used a Hong Kong based logistics provider, but we experienced many problems with this, like long delivery times (4-6 weeks) and inconsistent costs.
With the bulk of our orders being US based, we have decided to move to a logistics service in the US to provide faster delivery times. This of course means we need to bulk ship stock in China to the US, which will incur a 15–20-day lead time.
- 15 July – Production stock complete ready for pickup
- 20 July – Ship to US
- ~10 August – Ship arrives in US
- 15 August – Stock is in US logistics warehouse <- ready to fulfill orders.
Note: If there is a delay caused and we do not meet the ship date, we will need to wait 2 weeks for the next shipping window.
Q: Will I be able to secure an xScreen before shipping with a Pre-Order?
A: We will be opening pre-orders on or about 10 July for those that want to secure their position in the queue. xScreen pricing remains at $249.99 plus shipping for now despite the global cost inflation that is occurring. Pricing for other accessories will be available on our store site when orders open.
Q: Will you still offer international shipping?
A: Yes, we still plan on shipping worldwide from the US.
Q: How will logistics in the US impact international orders?
A: It depends. Delivery costs and transit time will vary depending on where in the world you are.
Q: For the countries where there are tax/duties, is the handling of duties and taxes changing?
A: At this stage duties and taxes will remain the responsibility of customer, payable to locally release orders. There will be no taxes / duties on US orders.
